You must field at least 3 defenders, 2 midfielders, and 1 forward. If any starting player doesn’t play, one of your substitutes (bench) is auto-promoted, following your bench order.
Pick your captain & vice-captain: Your captain’s points double. If the captain doesn’t play, the vice-captain takes over.

Scoring & Strategy

Points in FPL are awarded based on real match events:

Goals, assists, clean sheets, saves, minutes played, and bonus points (for match influence) all contribute to totals.
Bonus Points System (BPS) gives additional credit for underlying performance stats (passes, tackles, key contributions)
Chips: powerful special tools to shake up your strategy

* Bench Boost – your entire bench (all 15 players) score that Gameweek.

* Free Hit – unlimited transfers for one Gameweek (then your team reverts back).
